About The Position

The Product Manager - eCommerce is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with other company departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This person will drive customer connection and drive sales conversion activities using customer service chat bots/agents. The role requires internalizing and deeply understanding the company's mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of the eCommerce team.

Requirements

  • eCommerce website product management, especially in the area of customer experience journey management from home page to product marketing pages, product listing pages, cart, and checkout
  • Insights into visitor behavior and trends, chat bot interactions, and shopping app experience
  • Experience in requirement gathering, converting those into actionable stories and acceptance criteria, and managing requests to completion working closely with engineering (Dev/QA), UX designers, business stakeholders, and external partners (third-party services consumed)
  • Good verbal, written communication skills, and executive presentation skills
  • Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Jira, and A/B testing techniques
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Knowledge of software engineering, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective product delivery
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, roadmap prioritization, resource allocation, and production methods
  • Experience delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet products
  • Stellar design instincts and product taste
  • A high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on
  • Proficiency with data: ability to gather data, analyze it, and create insightful stories to make informed decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis
  • A never-ending desire to learn and grow
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a relevant field

  • MBA or other related advanced degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Product Management plus hands-on software engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with other company departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Drive customer connection and drive sales conversion activities using customer service chat bots/agents
  • Internalize and deeply understand mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of the eCommerce team
  • Author user stories, acceptance criteria and execute a portion of the testing on projects
  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with cross-functional internal teams as well as external partners to execute
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team
  • Be data centric to make informed product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, A/B Testing, customer behavior, customer contact ticket analysis or other business metrics; solicit and embrace critical feedback
  • Work closely with customer service, engineering, UX designers, Marketing and Site Merchandising team
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into product development process
  • Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
