About The Position

SoftPro is seeking a Product Manager – AI Enablement to join our R&D/Product organization to help deliver on our vision of AI enabled products and services that make a measurable difference in how our customers work, engage with their customers and how they interact with SoftPro. This position can be based in our Raleigh, NC office or can be remote. Remote employees will need to work East Coast hours. The primary responsibility of the Product Manager – AI Enablement will be to define and communicate the AI vision and roadmap, guiding the other product and development teams on their implementation of AI tools and services into their own products and services. The Product Manager participates in product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes mentoring product owners on the gathering and prioritizing of features and changing requests with internal and external stakeholders, helping to design new features with the product and development teams, and helping to validate those features with customers. You will be a part of our AI enablement / center-of-excellence model, partnering with multiple product teams to embed AI responsibly, pragmatically, and at scale across our product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience as a Product Owner, 3-5 years as a Product Manager or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing innovative technologies in existing products, services and codebases.
  • Ability to take concepts and ideas to fully functioning solutions.
  • Hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled features, tools, or workflows (e.g., ML-powered automation, decision support, document intelligence, copilots, or analytics)
  • Strong understanding of AI product concepts such as model lifecycle, data dependencies, evaluation metrics, and human-in-the-loop design
  • Ability to translate AI capabilities and limitations into clear customer and business value
  • Must be able to solve real customer problems and deliver the highest level of value.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Experience working across multiple product lines and teams, and as part of a center-of-excellence / shared services model
  • Must be able to travel occasionally, if needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders, customers, dev teams, and executive management
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and results-driven.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with utilization and evaluation of AI tools and services in financial services is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Understand your product. Have a deep knowledge of how AI-based tools and processes can be utilized in financial services and regulated industries to realize efficiencies, increase customer satisfaction and reduce risk. Build a deep knowledge of your products and their target customers. Collaborate with Product and Development Managers to create and clearly communicate the product’s vision and mission statements. Keep abreast of the developments in the capabilities and applications of AI tools and services, including their security and risk profiles. Collect and analyze product usage statistics to identify areas of opportunity and success. This may involve working with development teams to track desired statistics and build reporting on efficiency, satisfaction and adverse outcomes.
  • Understand your target customer and use cases. Be able to identify and rank use cases for SoftPro’s customers that would benefit from the utilization of AI by evaluating benefits, costs and risks. Facilitate customer advisory boards when appropriate. Develop feedback loops for your product teams that drive customer empathy and encourage product improvements. Understand the customer’s full journey and lifecycle through use of AI tools and solutions and what benefits and drawbacks they will experience.
  • Build and share your product roadmap. Use your understanding of the customer, product, and technology environment, combined with feedback and guidance from internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and architecture, to determine development priorities for the products and services that SoftPro offers. Document those priorities in roadmaps and communicate them to the appropriate parties. Provide realistic forecasts for short- and long-term planning.
  • Coordinate tactical product tasks throughout the release cycle. Collaboration with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure consistency in product design. Work with Senior Product Management throughout the development cycle to provide status updates on key features/epic progress, for organization reporting purposes.
  • Manage teams. Hold weekly or biweekly 1:1 meeting with your direct reports. Ability to manage up to two Product Owners – AI Enablement. Coach and mentor your team to help them succeed, consistently improve, and grow. Ensure that your team meets or exceeds SoftPro’s standards and practices for their role. Look for process improvements that help build efficiency and consistency in Product Management Build relationships with peer product teams and facilitate collaboration.
