About The Position

SoftPro is seeking a Product Owner – AI Enablement to join our R&D/Product organization. This role is central to delivering AI-enabled capabilities, platforms, and workflows that measurably improve how our customers work, how they serve their clients, and how they interact with SoftPro products. You will be a part of our AI enablement / center-of-excellence model, partnering with multiple product teams to embed AI responsibly, pragmatically, and at scale across our product portfolio. This position can be located in our Raleigh, NC headquarters as hybrid, or from a remote location. Remote employees will need to work East Coast hours.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for SaaS and/or on-premises software
  • Proven ability to operate across multiple product teams and platforms
  • Hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled features, tools, or workflows (e.g., ML-powered automation, decision support, document intelligence, copilots, or analytics)
  • Strong understanding of AI product concepts such as model lifecycle, data dependencies, evaluation metrics, and human-in-the-loop design
  • Ability to translate AI capabilities and limitations into clear customer and business value
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and feedback to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority
  • Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and active participation in ceremonies
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Ability to prioritize work across multiple streams and initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Real Estate, Financial Services, or similarly regulated industries preferred

Responsibilities

  • AI Product Enablement & Strategy: Maintain a clear vision for AI-enabled capabilities within your product area(s), ensuring alignment with SoftPro’s product strategy and business objectives
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, and Business Stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases grounded in real customer workflows
  • Work cross-functionally with other product teams to embed AI features, tools, and workflows into existing and new products
  • Ensure AI solutions are usable, trustworthy, explainable, and aligned with customer expectations and regulatory considerations
  • Product Ownership & Delivery: Own and manage the team backlog, including writing, refining, and prioritizing user stories for AI-driven features and platform capabilities
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and ensure all work items meet defined acceptance criteria
  • Drive sprint planning, dependency management, and delivery coordination for AI initiatives across teams
  • Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from discovery through release
  • Balance multiple initiatives and priorities across product lines in a shared-services environment
  • User Experience & Validation: Collaborate with UX and Product teams to review wireframes, prototypes, and designs for AI-powered features
  • Ensure AI functionality delivers meaningful, intuitive, and consistent user experiences across products
  • Define and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and other KPIs to validate the success and adoption of AI capabilities
  • Confidently demo AI-enabled features to internal and external stakeholders
