About The Position

Product Engineering Manager Description - Are you passionate about technology and eager to work in a startup environment that leverages HP’s microfluidics capabilities to create breakthrough cooling performance for the next generation of high-performance microprocessors? Join HP’s microfluidics technology development team. Job Summary: The position is to lead a team of diverse engineering talent that is partnering with product design, NPI and business development teams. You will be responsible for the Product Engineering functions for HP’s new solutions that span multiple customer applications. The PM will work across R&D, NPI and Manufacturing to help establish technology fundamentals and help guide productization efforts to guarantee the design and materials meet the customer requirements and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related science
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams as program manager or engineering technical lead
  • Ability to set strategy, lead, and develop a diverse team of engineers and program managers
  • Excellent planning and execution skills and a commitment to delivery personally and through others
  • Demonstrated people leadership and development skills including interpersonal, teamwork, mentoring, technical development, motivational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong, effective relationships/partnerships at all levels
  • Strong Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) skills
  • Solid understanding of the PDP and TDP

Responsibilities

  • Effectively develop and manage a diverse group of individual contributors.
  • Perform all the required management duties including cascading prioritized objectives setting team and individual objectives resource planning and execution completing quarterly conversations giving actional feedback recognizing contributions managing quarterly spend against budget program managing a portion
  • Create overall strategy for the combined Integration and SIE team
  • Assure appropriate work balance and objectives across the team
  • Share risk the team is taking with the program and ask for help when needed
