About The Position

We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Global Support Team, supporting our Frequency Control and Timing Devices product line. This role involves assisting in the development and support of components vital for clocking and timing circuitry, including MEMS oscillators, quartz crystal oscillators, TCXOs, OCXOs, VCXOs, and other quartz crystal related components. The successful candidate will be positioned at Abracon’ s Headquarters in Bee Cave, Texas and will have the option to engage in a hybrid work-from-home arrangement. The position is full-time for the summer of 2026 (12 weeks cycle, starting no later than June 1). Pioneer new technologies at the forefront of innovation in an innovative work environment. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Material Sciences or related field. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) candidates may also be considered.
  • Strong interest in product design and development within the frequency control and timing devices electronic components industry.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuit theory and microelectronics.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and proficiency in working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn to use standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum & network analyzers, DMM’s, frequency counters, power supplies, temperature chambers, and phase noise analyzers

Responsibilities

  • Support product design, development, and quality enhancement initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with global teams in manufacturing, product management, and quality assurance to translate concepts into production.
  • Provide comprehensive product support to sales teams, assisting customers with new designs and product recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of the product roadmap for timing products, aligning with market needs and trends.
  • Assist in the execution of test plans for development and design validation activities.
  • Aid in maintaining engineering records, including Source Control Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs), and End of Life declarations (EOL).
  • Support the creation of market-facing technical articles, including technical briefings and white papers, to showcase products and solutions for specific applications.
