Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent certification from a four-year college or technical school.
  • Five years’ experience in applicable automotive manufacturing role.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications, PowerBi, Power Automate, Vizio.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling software. Catia or NX experience preferred. (TeamCenter experience is a plus)
  • Mastery in GD&T: knowledge of ASME Y14.5 or ISO 14385 for proper symbol application and interpretation.
  • Operational knowledge of AIAG & ASTM industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret material certifications for steel & appropriate applications.
  • Ability to interpret simulation software (AutoForm, Dynaform, PamStamp)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage product engineering activities from program pre-award through production launch and ongoing production support.
  • Ensure all product designs meet customer specifications, internal manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and cost targets.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers, manufacturing, and tool suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Drive robust product launches by supporting APQP, engineering change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Protect program timing, cost, and quality objectives through proactive risk identification and resolution.
