About The Position

The Product Engineer (also known in the industry as an Application Engineer) is responsible for enabling sales growth by providing technical expertise and solutions to customers within the market of their assigned product portfolio. At the time of hire, the specific product portfolio will be defined, and the role will report to the Engineering Manager - TS. This role combines customer relationship management with technical product knowledge to support existing accounts and develop new business opportunities. The position requires regular travel, with approximately 40% of the time spent on-site with customers to deliver in-person support and build lasting relationships. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required for the Engineer title; candidates without an Engineering degree will be considered for the Specialist title.
• 3+ years of experience in a sales or technical customer-facing role required. Experience with sealing components preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide application-based technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of products within the assigned product portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to present technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to customers at all levels.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Work with sales to Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.
• Provide on-site support, including product demonstrations, training, application troubleshooting, and technical consultations approximately 40% of the time.
• Partner with internal teams (Engineering, Customer Experience, Operations, Purchasing) to ensure accurate product specifications and solutions are delivered.
• Partner with Account Managers to provide technical expertise and support throughout each stage of the sales cycle, ensuring accurate quoting, strategic pricing insight, and effective solution delivery.
• Collaborate with vendors to review and guide sales performance plans.
• Assist in creation of sales targets and forecasts.
• Support efforts to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to regional sales strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.
