The Product Engineer supports the development, deployment, and sustaining of image computer racks and power distribution solutions aligned with KLA’s compute and infrastructure roadmaps. This role combines hands‑on technical execution with systems‑level understanding, supporting subsystem integration, testing, documentation, and change management in a fast‑paced engineering environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong ownership, technical rigor, and effective multi-functional communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of two years' relevant experience supporting hardware development, system integration, or engineering test activities.
  • Hands‑on experience with electromechanical systems, power distribution hardware, or rack‑level infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience developing or executing validation and qualification testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management, BOM ownership, and product release processes.

  • Ability to travel to company and customer sites as needed up to 20%

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering development and deployment of rack‑level electrical and electromechanical subsystems, including power distribution, controls, cabling, and monitoring components.
  • Perform hands‑on assembly, installation, upgrade, and maintenance of subsystems in engineering and manufacturing environments.
  • Complete system start‑up, integration, and troubleshooting, applying structured root‑cause analysis and driving corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement engineering test plans and procedures to support validation, qualification, and compliance activities (e.g., power, thermal, acoustic).
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and provide recommendations to improve design robustness and release readiness.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, procedures, test reports, and release packages.
  • Support bill of materials (BOM) definition and release, engineering change requests/orders, and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to facility and site preparation documentation, ensuring infrastructure readiness for new product deployments and upgrades.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions, clearly communicating technical status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, and supply chain to meet aggressive schedules.
