About The Position

As a Product Engineer at Phonic, you'll own the development and delivery of platform features from ideation to launch, while upholding a high UX bar. You'll work in our TypeScript and React codebase to build scalable fullstack systems from polished UIs to robust developer-facing APIs. With a lean team, you'll have outsized influence on product direction, shaping how users interact with our voice AI models and how we prioritize what gets built.

Requirements

• A track record of building and shipping beautiful products
• Deep care for design and user experience; you have strong taste and the confidence to defend it
• The ability to set direction, own decisions, and get things across the finish line - shipping is a skill you've honed
• Comfort thriving in a startup environment where autonomy, opinions, and speed are the norm
• An appreciation for simplicity: you know that shipping something clean is harder than it looks

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end in our TypeScript and React codebase, from ideation through launch, holding a high bar on UX throughout
• Build scalable fullstack systems, from polished UIs to robust developer-facing APIs
• Work closely with research and model engineering to shape product direction and decide how users experience our platform
• Contribute across the entire stack to ensure seamless integration across our UI, SDK, and platform
