About The Position

Visma empowers 2.4 million customers across Europe and Latin America with business software that automates and manages mission-critical processes. We operate as a community of entrepreneurs and are now strengthening how we support our organisations by hiring a Product Development Director to work closely with multiple Business Areas. In this role, you will drive product development and AI excellence, supporting management teams in improving and innovating. You will report to Visma’s CTO, Tinius Alexander Lystad, and collaborate with fellow PD Directors, Managing Directors, and CTOs to help shape and execute product strategies for the age of AI. Your role and impact Proactively identifying and executing the most impactful AI and product improvements across selected companies Respecting each company’s uniqueness, helping individual units focus on what moves the needle for them and for the Visma Group as a whole. Contributing to M&A due diligence processes and the onboarding of newly acquired companies. Participating in boards within the relevant Business Area and guiding R&D investments. Focus Area: AI-Native Products Ensure companies successfully transform their product strategies and offerings. Guide companies in rethinking their value propositions, core workflows, and pricing models for the age of AI. Move beyond "wrapper" features by helping embed AI natively into the core user experience to solve foundational customer problems. Identify new revenue streams driven by AI capabilities and establish sustainable business models for AI-heavy features. Assist companies in navigating AI complexities, including data privacy, security, hallucination mitigation, and ethical AI practices. Focus Area: AI-Native Product Development Ensure companies successfully transform their R&D organizations to build better products faster. Drive strategies for using GenAI assistance to modernize existing products and codebases. Guide the evaluation and rollout of AI tools, shifting the focus away from manual coding and toward delegation and orchestration. Foster a culture of AI curiosity, ensuring engineering teams have the skills to transition to AI-native development paradigms. Who are we looking for? Requirements

Proven ability and credibility to drive AI transformation
Deep knowledge of product management, including strategy, discovery, and execution
Knowledge of modern software methodology and technology
Experience with product development organizations, processes, technology, and architecture.
A strong understanding of the challenges and successes of applying AI in product development organizations.
A commercial perspective focused on providing guidance and making decisions that maximize ROI for Visma.
A willingness to travel across our locations when needed, because great ideas aren't always sparked in the office.
