About The Position

The Procurement Technician Intern will support the Supply Chain Purchasing team on an exciting project in Texas. This is a hands on learning opportunity for business or supply chain majors to gain real world experience supporting project procurement activities within a large EPC environment.
Under the guidance of experienced supply chain professionals, the intern will assist with purchasing administration, supplier communication, and data entry within Fluor’s corporate procurement system. The role provides exposure to project based supply chain operations, commercial documentation, and coordination with engineering and suppliers, while developing foundational skills in procurement and material management.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance or global equivalent with no required previous work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Nice To Haves

• Reasonably good interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
