Position Summary Procurement Specialist Long term in plant assignment located in Pt. Neches, TX Position offers competitive pay, benefits! NOTE: no per diem, no relo. Position will support day to day in plant procurement functions using SAP.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a chemical facility specifically in a procurement role.
- Experienced working with vendors, reading contracts related to payment terms.
- Solid knowledge and work experience using SAP for processing requisitions and tracking purchase orders.
- Excellent communication skills a must!
Responsibilities
- Procures materials or other goods and/or coordinates activities involved with purchasing products and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for establishment.
- Receives and reviews requisitions requesting goods or services.
- Communicates with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items.
- Expedites orders and requests as needed.
