About The Position

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for building and managing a scalable procurement and inventory strategy that supports Sloomoo’s multi-location growth. This role owns sourcing, cost control, vendor performance, inventory accuracy, and ERP discipline across Institutes, MiniMoos, production centers, and warehouses. Procurement directly impacts guest experience, production efficiency, and company profitability. This position plays a critical role in scaling Sloomoo responsibly while maintaining strong cost control and operational excellence. This is not a transactional purchasing role. It is a strategic operator who protects margin, strengthens supplier partnerships, and ensures the right materials are in the right place at the right time  without excess or disruption.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or inventory management experience
  • ERP experience required (Acumatica strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency
  • Experience working directly with domestic and/or international vendors
  • Working knowledge of forecasting, reorder point logic, and inventory controls
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • Experience in a multi-location retail, production, or operational environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic and international vendors
  • Work with suppliers on lead times, pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve discrepancies
  • Diversify vendors to reduce risk and dependency
  • Source the best materials at the lowest cost with just-in-time delivery
  • Create and release Purchase Orders with strong attention to detail
  • Maintain the OPEN PO sheet daily
  • Follow up with Experience teams for items that are delivered
  • Follow up with vendors for all backorders and missing items
  • Check ETAs and production and delivery statuses
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions
  • Regularly review properly created and released Kit Assemblies, Issues, Transfers, POs, and receipts
  • Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory audits across experiences, warehouses, and production facilities
  • Ensure counts are accurate and initiate recounts when necessary
  • Analyze inventory variances following monthly and weekly cycle counts
  • Forecast demand based on sales trends, seasonality, and historical consumption data (Kit Assemblies, Issues, Shopify sales)
  • Set reorder points based on usage and storage capacity
  • Reduce cost to store by balancing delivery times and usage
  • Prepare replenishment reports and recommend order quantities based on lead time, consumption rate, bulk pricing, and storage capacity
  • Enforce Acumatica and inventory procedures across all locations
  • Coordinate and track internal inventory transfers via UPS, FedEx, and 3PL freight providers
  • Create corresponding Acumatica 1- or 2-step transfers as needed
  • Develop best practices for inventory management and ordering
  • Support purchasing and inventory management for production centers supplying experiences
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Production, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to align purchasing plans with budget, timing, and quality targets
  • Train team members and managers on Acumatica functions
  • Maintain inventory IDs in Acumatica, including: Creating new stock and non-stock items with accurate pricing, vendor details, vendor SKUs, and case quantities Creating matrix items and linking template IDs to sync inventory IDs to Shopify Regularly reviewing discontinued products and removing them from cycle counts or inactivating when out of stock
