About The Position

Wavetronix, the global leader in radar-based vehicle detection technologies, seeks a Procurement Specialist II to help us proactively manage the supply chain. This person will be a critical team member in a high-paced environment that includes procurement responsibilities, cost reduction efforts, relationship management, and general project oversight. They will actively participate in an environment of continuous improvement and will develop skills and traits to become an effective leader. A successful Procurement Specialist II will accomplish the following: First 30 days Participate in the Wavetronix onboarding and personal development training. Gain basic Oracle Fusion knowledge of key interface screens. Understand how Wavetronix products are manufactured. Gain understanding of 3-way paperwork matching for Accounts Payable activities. Learn basic procurement practices with the ability to begin making purchases with little oversight. Understand the long-term vision and direction of the Wavetronix campus. First 90 days Purchase supplies and materials as assigned with no oversight. Understand the dynamics of the supply chain of both the manufacturing and campus organizations. Form initial relationships with key supply chain partners. Deepen Oracle Fusion understanding. Demonstrate ability to expedite shortages. Assist in tracking various projects that have scope outside traditional procurement responsibilities. 1 year and beyond Proactively manage the entire supplier relationship with no oversight. Lead cross-functional procurement projects from planning through close-out. Develop the knowledge and skills required to manage both campus and manufacturing projects as required by the procurement team. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs. Serve as procurement project lead for process-improvement initiatives. Strive to find ways to contribute to personal, team, and company growth.

  • High school diploma and 9+ years of related experience in Purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain support role OR bachelor’s in supply chain, business, or related field and 3+ years of experience.
