About The Position

The Procurement Planner is a headquarters-based role responsible for enterprise-level planning and coordination of Purchased Batteries for multiple sites. This role translates demand signals into executable procurement plans, balances inventory and service levels, and partners with sourcing, operations, and logistics to ensure supply continuity at optimal total cost. This role focuses on planning, visibility, and coordination across the network. The position is located in Alpharetta, GA and requires you to be on-site daily. It is not a remote or hybrid role.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize demand, inventory, and supplier data into actionable plans.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and procurement fundamentals, including lead times, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, finance, and logistics teams.
  • High attention to detail and strong data discipline.
  • Clear, concise communication skills suited for HQ-to-plant and HQ-to-supplier coordination.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or planning tools in a multi-site environment.
  • Education or formal training in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years prior experience in procurement planning, material planning, purchasing, or inventory management roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multiple plants or an enterprise supply network is strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain procurement plans based on demand forecasts, inventory positions, and supplier lead times across multiple locations.
  • Analyze enterprise inventory levels, usage trends, and service risks to recommend purchase timing and volume.
  • Coordinate with plant planners and operations teams to align demand assumptions and resolve supply constraints.
  • Partner with strategic sourcing and category managers to support supplier strategies, pricing reviews, and contract execution.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, performance, and risk indicators at an enterprise level.
  • Support scenario analysis for demand changes, supply disruptions, and inventory optimization.
  • Maintain accurate planning, scheduling, and procurement data within ERP and planning systems.
  • Drive standard planning processes, metrics, and governance across sites.
