About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Procurement Multi-Family Manager to join their team in Hazelwood, MO. This role is for a proactive, experienced First-Line Manager who will lead Procurement activities within a highly regulated and fast-paced environment. The manager will be responsible for leading a team of Procurement Agents, ensuring timely and compliant responses to both supplier and program stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of leadership experience (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • 3+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years leadership and/or mentorship experience

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develop and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
