About The Position

Procurement Multi-Family Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Procurement Multi-Family Manager to join our BCA Supply Chain Functional Excellence team in Everett, Washington. The Supply Chain Manager will directly manage a great team of Executive Office Administrators that support Vice Presidents and Executives across BCA Supply Chain in Everett, WA. It will be responsible for all aspects of managing a team as well as essential alignment to ensure the executive leadership team receives the support, they need for their business. This role will be responsible for recognition and events across the BCA Supply Chain Organization. This includes large event planning such as Supplier Summit, Airshows, and support for certain supplier visits as needed. Additionally, this position will report directly to the Director, Supply Chain, Functional Excellence leader and lead business initiatives as assigned. This position will look for opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices. This role requires strong relationships, communication at all levels, strategic thinking, with on-the-ground execution to enable the success of the BCA Supply Chain business. Our team is currently hiring a (Level K) Procurement Multi-Family Manager. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with senior management and/or executive leadership
  • 3+ years of experience in leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Domestic and international 10% travel as needed
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Relevant industry certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.
  • Supports the Supply Chain Functional Excellence Director in day-to-day activities to support the business.
  • Integrate with other Director Analysts in the organization to ensure alignment.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
