Turner & Townsend are looking for a Procurement Manager to support a large-scale construction project. The ideal candidate has great communication skills and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience
  • Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a procurement or purchasing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Proficient in using office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with procurement software or systems.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, terms, and best practices is desirable.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations and compliance requirements in procurement is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, formatting, and distribution of procurement-related documents, including purchase orders, contracts, and bid packages.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of procurement documentation.
  • Facilitate communication between procurement staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely responses and resolution of inquiries or issues.
  • Monitor and track procurement-related activities, such as purchase requisitions, order fulfillment, and delivery status.
  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs).
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor information, including contact details, pricing agreements, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation and assessment processes, collecting and analyzing supplier data to support vendor selection and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with procurement staff to resolve vendor-related issues, such as pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, or quality concerns.
  • Conduct research on potential vendors, gathering information on product specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement reports, analyzing data and generating insights on purchasing trends, cost savings, and vendor performance.
  • Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and information related to procurement processes and transactions.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
