Our Core Values: Respect • Trust • Accountability • Teamwork • Ownership • Continuous Improvement Job Summary The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the procurement function at JTM Foods, LLC. This role ensures the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services while maintaining a high-quality, reliable, and safe supply chain. The Procurement Manager will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, oversee department operations, and support initiatives aligned with company goals and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred)
  • 5–7 years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in food manufacturing or CPG
  • Proven supplier negotiation and contract management experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Sage preferred)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage supplier negotiations, pricing, contracts, and ongoing supplier performance evaluations
  • Conduct value analysis on products, materials, and suppliers to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze procurement tools, dashboards, and reports to support informed purchasing decisions
  • Oversee and participate in supply chain audits, inventory cycle counts, and special counts; reconcile discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Define, document, and maintain department SOPs related to planning, procurement, and logistics
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure SOP compliance and continuous improvement
  • Analyze market trends, supplier risks, and industry developments to proactively mitigate cost and supply chain risks
  • Implement processes supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, R&D, and Logistics
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of procurement staff
  • Manage bulk tank inventory and replenishment
  • Improve procurement systems, processes, and departmental standards
  • Develop and manage purchase orders
  • Expand and diversify supplier channels to ensure continuity of supply and competitive pricing
  • Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement plans
  • Ensure responsible use of company funds and minimize unnecessary expenses
  • Perform other duties as assigned
