About The Position

This position is for a Procurement Engineer, Staff on the Supplier Performance team within Global Supply Chain Management. This position will work as a subject matter expert for aircraft metallic tubing to resolve emerging and complex technical issues affecting component on-time delivery and part shortages. This position works with Global Supply Chain Managers, Technical Subcontract Managers (TSM), Capacity/Rate Readiness, Supplier Risk/Performance Analysis, Supplier Quality, Design Engineering and others to identify global supply chain disruption risks and mitigate existing issues. Supports root cause corrective action (RCCA), supplier evaluations, technical evaluations for suppliers. Supports development of improvement strategies and mitigation plans. This position is in Fort Worth, TX This position requires 30-35% travel to work with suppliers at their facilities, including some potential international travel.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering experience plus education
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft tubing manufacturing
• Root Cause Corrective Action experience
• Experience with military specifications and standards
• This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
• Clearance Level: Secret

• Previous Global Supply Chain experience
• Experience working with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure all procured materials meet quality and performance standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions with suppliers, internal teams, and government representatives
