The Procurement Data Analytics Intern will support the Procurement team in a cross‑functional data and reporting project focused on improving spend visibility, supplier performance insights, and automation of recurring analytics. The intern will consolidate and validate spend data, build Power BI dashboards, support sourcing event analysis, and contribute to automated reporting that enhances decision‑making. The outcomes of this internship will strengthen supplier KPI visibility, reduce manual reporting workload, and enable clearer insights into supply risk and cost‑saving opportunities. This role provides meaningful hands‑on experience in procurement analytics, dashboard creation, data quality improvement, and supply chain metrics.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Supply Chain Analytics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data in Excel or similar tools.
  • Interest in procurement, supply chain analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently with complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with basic procurement or supply chain concepts.
  • Experience with data cleaning, ETL processes, or dashboard automation.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and clean spend data from multiple sources to build a reliable dataset.
  • Validate dataset accuracy and resolve inconsistencies related to supplier names, categories, and transactions.
  • Support the development of a standardized spend classification structure.
  • Build supplier performance dashboards in Power BI to support Procurement decision‑making.
  • Identify and track key supplier KPIs such as delivery reliability, quality metrics, and responsiveness.
  • Support creation of a scalable reporting structure for supplier scorecards.
  • Support sourcing event analysis, including bid comparisons, cost‑saving calculations, and risk assessments.
  • Analyze spending patterns to identify savings opportunities or supply risk indicators.
  • Present findings to Procurement leadership with clear visuals and recommendations.
  • Automate recurring procurement reports using Power BI, Excel, or other analytics tools.
  • Improve efficiency by reducing manual data manipulation and standardizing reporting templates.
  • Build workflows that enable ongoing visibility to procurement performance.
  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to collect and validate data.
  • Work with analytics or BI teams to ensure dashboard alignment with internal data standards.
  • Participate in meetings and share progress updates with cross‑functional stakeholders.
