About The Position

Uniti’s vendor contracting team within the Legal Department plays a critical role in supporting contracting actions for corporate and business unit purchasing. In particular, the Consultant - Procurement position is vital to a smooth contract lifecycle management process, ensuring risk to Uniti is managed with appropriate contract terms and vendor agreements are reviewed, negotiated, executed and stored in an efficient manner. The Consultant – Procurement position is responsible for maintaining all backend processes for the vendor contracting team, as well as supporting contract actions that fall into various vendor categories, as needed.

Requirements

A college degree
3-5 years of professional-level experience
Ability to work independently on complex matters with minimal supervision
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and vendor management tools and ERP applications/systems such as Docusign, Corcentric (or similar contract repository platform), internal vendor purchasing systems, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

JD or Paralegal experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Maintain Uniti’s electronic vendor contracts repository and respond to requests for copies of contract documents.
Manage the electronic in-take process for new contract actions, as well as team mailboxes.
Regularly interface with internal support teams to ensure processes run smoothly.
Review, draft and negotiate contracts (confidentiality agreements, amendments, statements of work, etc.) with potential vendors, both using Uniti templates and also occasionally vendor contract templates.
Ensure negotiations align with key stakeholder expectations, advise of potential risk exposure to the company, and provide periodic review status updates as appropriate.
Adhere to, and assist in maintaining, internal policies and procedures for contract processing, including summarization documentation, signature authority policies, and electronic signature routing via Docusign.
Stay informed about Uniti’s business units and strategy to ensure contracting support aligns with company goals.
