Position Summary The role is a buyer position within the Infrastructure and Indirect Procurement department reporting to Supervisor/Manager. The Procurement Buyer will be responsible for supporting and executing on professional procurement responsibilities (detailed below) for primarily indirect segments related to Infrastructure Technology. This includes sourcing, negotiation, and working with internal customers and external vendors to reach mutually agreeable and cost efficient business agreements. Role requires the ability to successfully manage relationships both externally (with vendor, 3PL, etc.) and internally. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working with systems (SAP, internal procurement systems). This role is more specific to project based procurement working with support teams to find best and most cost efficient solutions for the company (subject to change based on company needs). - 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement or related supply chain management field - B.S. in business management, supply chain management,, or related field - Strong understanding of core supply chain functions, including but not limited to: logistics, RFP/RFQ, MRP and PO - Experience in negotiating and managing goods and service contracts (up to $10M).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • CPM/CPSM/CPIM certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • This role supports both Austin and Taylor procurement work including suppler sourcing and management, RFP/RFQ demands, investment support, and efficient procurement process execution.
  • Responsible for collaboration between suppliers and end user teams to assist with finding mutually beneficial business outcomes.
  • Work with high sense of urgency to provide strong support for the business.
  • Excellent communicator who exhibits a pro-active work style and understands the various constraints within each transaction to add value and goodwill with each request result.
