Indirect Buyer Job Summary: The Indirect Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring non-production goods and services that support business operations. This includes office supplies, tooling, consulting services, testing services, and capital expenditures. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement aligned with company goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR 6+ years of relevant procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in indirect procurement.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing capital expenditure purchases and budgets.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S4/Hana or similar).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to expedite orders and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and internal audit processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership and strategic sourcing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities for indirect categories, including office supplies, MRO, professional services, and capital equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to understand requirements and ensure alignment with procurement policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic business reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements in ERP systems (preferably SAP S4/Hana).
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure compliance with Accounts Payable processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
