 2026 Nestlé Health Science - Procurement Business Optimization Internship

What to expect:

Join us in our mission to redefine procurement practices and drive innovation within the Nestlé Health Science (NHSc) Procurement Team! As a proactive intern, you will play a vital role in our Procurement Automation and Optimization journey, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and address process and tool bottlenecks.

This 10-week Procurement PPA Internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement and streamlining of our Ways of Working (WoW) in both Direct and Indirect materials. You will collaborate closely with NHS Local Procurement Specialists, Category Managers, and Business Partners to support various initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

This internship is not just about learning; it's about making a tangible impact on our Procurement practices and helping us become better tomorrow than we are today!

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations Management or other related field is required
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

• Procurement Processes & Tools experience is preferred, but not required
• Coursework in Procurement, Operations and/or Supply Chain is strongly preferred
• Degree completed by June 2027, preferred
• Demonstrated fluency in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Business principles, with a demonstrated interest in metrics, data analysis, and performance tracking.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with Nestlé Procurement and Supply Chain departments to enhance communication and optimize services.
• Operational buying capability, with negotiation skills considered a plus.
• Quick learner with a proven ability to manage change, work across boundaries, and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with a track record of collaboration and team leadership.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Macros, Copilot, Bots, Automation, PowerBI creation and proficiency in Data Analytics is preferred.
• Strong research and project management skills, with a proactive attitude and willingness to engage in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the NHS Procurement PPA team to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization within procurement processes.
• Assist in implementing automation solutions to streamline procurement processes, for Packaging, Ingredients and/or Services and Indirect Materials.
• Contribute to projects that align with strategic goals and drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Partner with NHS Procurement teams, including Local Procurement Specialists, Category Managers, and Business Partners, on assigned projects, with opportunities for cross-functional collaboration on facility-related initiatives.
• Design and execute process improvement initiatives within NHS Procurement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support project management activities, including scope definition, data gathering, benchmarking, scheduling, and budgeting, while providing regular updates to leadership teams and ensuring transparency across NHS US functions and factories.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
