This position will be within the Land Air & Defense (LADS) Strategic Business Unit. The selected individual will be responsible for supporting procurement efforts to assist the DLA Spares program within the Product Support Sub-Strategic Business Unit.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience in supply chain with knowledge of supply chain processes, preferably in procurement or subcontracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with formal negotiations and teleconferences (price, schedule and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements).
  • Experience performing and comprehending price and cost analysis, source selection/justification, analysis of supplier quotation, and with experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and all levels of management
  • Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting team performance cadence (purchase requisition/purchase order updates, purchase order placement cycle time, on-time-delivery and other company metrics)
  • DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • Experience in SAP PRISM
  • Experience in developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Six Sigma, CORE, productivity improvement experience, and working knowledge of Raytheon systems, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review/Update Sourcing Package information to ensure your purchase order is compliant.
  • Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government contracts as needed within team.
  • Assist in protection of company proprietary information by initiating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to support team as necessary.
  • Place purchase orders of low to medium complexity and medium to high volume.
  • Utilize source selection techniques, compile, and analyze data to perform price analysis, conduct negotiations (including terms and conditions) and identify supplier risks.
  • Ensure that requirements (prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with the Program Office and other functions (Engineering, Quality and Logistics) to identify solutions to sourcing issues that require ingenuity, creativity and innovation.
  • Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets.
  • Communicate clearly and be proactive in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility yet be thorough, and drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally, if required.
