About The Position

Semo Milling, LLC is seeking a Process Technician to join their mill production crew. This position requires a willingness to work a dedicated 12-hour night shift (6 PM - 6 AM) with no swing shifts. Reporting to the Mill Manager, the Process Technician will be an active team member responsible for daily operations, supporting company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met within the mill production area.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Superior mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Execute production process control as directed
  • Assist in machinery maintenance and repair
  • Work with Lab personnel to ensure quality control protocol is followed
  • Maintain mill production area sanitation standards at all times
  • Troubleshoot minor production problems
  • Monitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilization
  • Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
  • Responsible for quality of work within area
  • Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment
  • Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures
  • Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present
  • Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties
  • Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements
  • Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.
