About The Position

THE ROLE: Our site in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Process Technician to join our team. This role will focus on fixturing/tooling, continuous improvement projects, training, troubleshooting, assembly, and documentation for their department. You will use metrics and data to understand where opportunities exist and be able to execute projects from start to finish implementing your ideas. You will also be responsible for providing technical support to manufacturing, including providing manufacturing assistance and support for New and/or Existing Product and Process lines; process continuous improvements and developing programs for set up guidelines. HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 6AM-2PM. THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN THE WORK HOURS WILL NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE BASED ON THE PROJECT AND PRODUCTION DEMANDS. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Works with engineering staff, manufacturing and other team members to improve product manufacturability and feasibility, such as implementing manufacturing prototype parts, designing and building fixtures, planning and organizing layout processes for work cells and assembly lines. Participates in implementing cost reduction solutions for the manufacturing operations. Documents all suggestions and changes on processes, instructions, and routings. Develops and executes training plans for operators and technicians to ensure that onboarding, succession planning, and skill gaps are monitored and addressed as needed. Leads and executes continuous improvement projects to resolve problems or concerns that arise during the manufacturing process or feedback from staff or customers. Update and create documentation of critical business processes to ensure that knowledge is retained and stored in the proper locations. Monitors product visually and takes corrective action when necessary. Ensures product is consistent with established specifications. Escalates quality issues as appropriate. Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality system, ISO and/or other standards. Ensures all boxes are packaged and closed per packaging specifications. Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality. Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 5s, Kaizen events, etc. Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Wears required Personal Protective Equipment. Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures. Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor. WHAT WE SEEK: Minimum 7 years of Electrical/Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience Laser and/or Optics experience preferred Previous manufacturing-based soldering experience required, industry certification preferred Vocational or Bachelor level education preferred Ability to operate manufacturing equipment Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed Ability to adapt to work environment, work force and customers’ needs. Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry. Ability to lift 40 lbs and walk and stand during shift. Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of Electrical/Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience
