About The Position

The Process Expert serves as a technical specialist within the Manufacturing Engineering department, responsible for planning, developing and optimizing production processes, equipment, and technologies. Furthermore, the expert is responsible for coordinating the installation and commissioning of equipment, as well as maintaining contact with suppliers and companies involved in the project. This role ensures technical excellence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across global projects, contributing to the successful industrialization of new products and ongoing process optimization.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process planning, industrialization, and production equipment management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies and process optimization.
  • Experience with FMEA, PDP, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., BOSLE, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and develop production lines, manufacturing processes, and value streams.
  • Define and implement standardized, cost-optimized equipment, including measurement and test systems.
  • Prepare and manage technical documentation such as specifications, feasibility studies, FMEAs, and process parameters.
  • Conduct concept studies, supplier evaluations, and quotation requests for new equipment and technologies.
  • Coordinate the installation and commissioning of production equipment
  • Approve and release production and testing equipment in cooperation with plant teams.
  • Produce and evaluate initial samples, ensuring successful handover to serial production.
  • Execute defined work packages within the Product Development Process (PDP).
  • Coordinate project-specific processes with prototype shops, plants, and suppliers.
  • Provide technical support and advice to product development teams from a manufacturing perspective.
  • Plan resources according to project requirements
  • Prepare and maintain project status reports and ensure transparent communication across stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze technical trends to identify and implement improvement measures.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new technologies to enhance production capabilities.
  • Contribute to global process standardization efforts and promote best practice
  • Support, train, and mentor team members within the field of expertise.
  • Promote a respectful, motivating work environment and lead by example in line with the company's mission, values, and leadership principles.
  • Ensure regular exchange of information, standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Develop and coordinate expert group meetings to foster knowledge sharing and alignment.
  • Support in cost estimation and budget planning for ME-related activities.
