The Process Engineer is responsible for continuously monitoring, measuring, and improving process control, impacting department production costs, quality metric analysis, and schedule attainment to support the plant's financial plan. This role involves developing, evaluating, and enhancing manufacturing methods and processes within the capital budget. The engineer will interact with various internal teams (production, sales, customer service, executive staff) and external parties (vendors, suppliers, customers) regarding product design, specifications, tooling, raw material properties, and product specifications. Key aspects include creating specifications for equipment and materials, performing engineering tests, communicating manufacturing capabilities, applying statistical methods for process control, and utilizing problem-solving skills to improve efficiency and profitability. The position also involves writing and implementing work instructions, resolving customer and raw material issues, and effectively communicating project status and risks to stakeholders. The role requires working safely in an industrial environment, assessing and minimizing risks, and demonstrating strong project management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills within cross-functional teams.
