Process Engineer Intern

Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and inquisitive by nature
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, Project , VISO
- Solid reasoning, analytical, technical and communication skills
- Must possess excellent work ethic
- Must be able to multi-task
Responsibilities
- Acquire technical competences related to cement manufacturing and related equipment. This includes knowledge of cement chemistry and standards.
- Perform process studies/audits at the plant; evaluate key performance indicators; follow up with plant personnel; discuss actual versus budgeted equipment operations and performance standards; and provide suggestions to improve/optimize operations.
- Maintain consistent and accurate process related reports and documentation such as mill inspection, process measurements, and time studies.
- Develop strategies and solutions jointly with Management and Engineering teams focused on optimization, automation and process improvement.
- Evaluate, track and optimize process conditions by utilizing process tools to compare/contrast and consolidate incidents.
- Evaluate, track and optimize the kiln’s refractory life by maintaining the company-utilized software dedicated to this purpose.
- Understand the importance of safety as it relates to the various tasks assigned during time spent at the Chattanooga plant.
