Roles Investigate process optimization, safety concerns, and ergonomics. Analyze SAP data from production work centers, material numbers and drawing numbers. Lead and manage project deliverables delegated from Process Engineers. Provide labor time and manufacturing work centers for new setup parts.

Requirements

  • Be attentive to details and comfortable with incomplete information.
  • Arrive on time, prepared and willing to learn/participate in new projects.
  • Have a sense of urgency and positive attitude with project deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of ergonomics and applicable industrial engineering methods.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing process flows and manufacturing drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use or learn AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
  • Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma + 3 years relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma certification(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute NEWSIZE, NEWPART, QUOTE, Product Change Requests, Routing Change Requests and PAK kits workflows for new setup parts using multiple transactions in SAP.
  • Create Process Flow Maps and Time studies as delegated to process engineers.
  • Perform the 8 types of waste (DOWNTIME) analysis during GEMBA walks.
  • Develop and sustain manufacturing line layout using AutoCAD.
  • Analyze customer requirements to develop manufacturing process within those parameters.
  • Review schedules and future production requirements to understand bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, tooling changes and repair services.
  • Assist in creating standard work procedures for new or current processes.
