About The Position

We are seeking a Process Coordinator to join our team. Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 This role will provide information to others and implement and maintain services with established guidelines and standards for the purpose of assisting special education teachers in completing required documentation and assessment procedures; assisting in IEP documentation; coordinating assigned special education program components and related activities, as requested. This position also fills in as a teacher. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Executes the special education case management cycle: assessments, IEP development, documentation, progress monitoring, direct instruction as assigned, and coordination with related services—ensuring day-to-day compliance on assigned caseload. Assists in the completion of special education documentation for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established guidelines, rules, laws and regulations. Collaborates with a variety of district special education staff and outside entities for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services assisting in documentation and legal In collaboration with the Director of Student Services, coordinates program components, support needs and material as assigned for the purpose of assisting teachers and delivering services which conform to established guidelines. Implements assigned program and/or projects for the purpose of conforming to district and state curriculum and/or instructional objectives. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing up-to-date references and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines. Conducts academic assessments to evaluate student performance and support the achievement of instructional and district objectives. Creates and prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g. IEPs, student achievement reports, correspondence, internal audits, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information. Presents information on a variety of topics for the purpose of communicating information and/or gaining feedback. Researches a variety of special education topics (e.g. current practices, policies, education codes, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations and/or addressing a variety of program requirements. Develops Individual Education Plans (IEP's) that meet state requirements Provides individualized direct instruction as needed Works with school therapists to meet both academic and affective goals Maintains a trauma-informed building and classroom environment conducive to learning Collects systematic student progress data Participates in enrollment as requested Participates in IEP meetings Participates in on-going staff development activities Assists in the oversight of the systems used for documentation purposes such as the student information system Assists in developing the student schedule in the student information system Assists in ensuring students are meeting their required credits. Requirements

  • Our ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in special education
  • Master's degree in special education, educational administration, or in an area related to special education, is required.
  • Must be eligible for special education certification in Missouri in one or a combination of the following areas: Mild-moderate disabilities (includes LD, BD/ED, MR, OHI), cross categorical hearing impaired, visually impaired or severe developmental disabilities.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
