About The Position

The Department of Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies seeks qualified applicants for its open instructor pool. The pool is for part-time, temporary, limited duration teaching appointments not to exceed one year, with the possibility of renewal dependent on need and funding. Potential areas of expertise include women's history, feminist theory, queer studies, gender and technology, gender and media, and feminist science fiction. This position may supervise graduate employees as assigned. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Women's Gender, & Sexuality Studies OR
  • Master's degree in another area and demonstrated teaching experience in Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies
  • Professional experience, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching
  • Commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds
