About The Position

The Pro Sales Associate at Behr works within a Home Depot store, specializing in serving professional painting contractors. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with local pros, understanding their business needs, and providing excellent customer service by assisting them with paint product selection, mixing, and gathering necessary tools to ensure quick service. The position is described as a perfect starting point for a career, as no prior experience in paint or sales is required, with all necessary knowledge provided through training. The associate will collaborate with Home Depot Pro Desk staff and Behr's outside sales representatives to support contractors and ensure a positive experience. Work hours will vary based on peak selling times, potentially including weekends, holidays, and shifts extending until 7 p.m.

Requirements

Approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping customers.
Basic computer skills to use customer management software.
Outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
Self-starter.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Prior computer knowledge (a plus for Salesforce).
Bilingual (definitely a bonus, as many professional contractors speak a second language).

Responsibilities

Support the Home Depot Pro Desk.
Introduce yourself to contractors, get to know them, their business, and their needs.
Maintain relationships and follow up regarding their jobs and any future needs.
Work closely with Behr’s outside sales reps and take care of customers in-store, including pulling and tinting orders for pick up.
Work closely with the Home Depot staff, maintaining a professional and helpful relationship.
Enter all new leads and contacts into Salesforce, our customer relationship management tool.
