About The Position

As a Pro Sales Associate at Behr, you will work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist, focusing on professional painting contractors and their unique needs. You will be approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping customers. Basic computer skills are necessary for customer management software. An outgoing personality and positive attitude will help you initiate conversations, and being a self-starter will enable you to assist wherever needed. No prior experience or knowledge in paint or sales is required, as Behr provides comprehensive training, making this an ideal starting point for a career. You will meet and build relationships with local pros, both independently and with the Pro Desk staff, ensuring they receive excellent products and exceptional customer service. When an outside representative refers a contractor for paint, you will collaborate with them to select the correct products, mix paint, gather necessary tools, and facilitate a quick in-and-out experience, making professional customers feel like they've had a dedicated paint store experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Prior computer knowledge (for Salesforce)
  • Bilingual (many professional contractors speak a second language)

Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself to contractors
  • Get to know contractors, their business, and their needs
  • Maintain relationships and follow up regarding jobs and future needs
  • Work closely with Behr’s outside sales reps and take care of customers in the store
  • Pull and tint orders for pick up
  • Collaborate with contractors to get the right products, mix paint, and collect sundry paint tools
  • Work closely with the Home Depot staff, maintaining a professional and helpful vendor relationship
  • Enter all new leads and contacts into Salesforce, the customer relationship management tool
