About The Position
As a Pro Sales Associate at Behr, you will work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist, focusing on professional painting contractors and their unique needs. You will be approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping customers. Basic computer skills are necessary for customer management software. An outgoing personality and positive attitude are essential for initiating conversations and being a self-starter to assist wherever needed. No prior experience in paint or sales is required, as training will be provided, making this an ideal entry point for a career. You will meet and build relationships with local pros, collaborating with them to select the right products, mix paint, and gather necessary tools to ensure a quick and efficient in-store experience, making them feel like they had a dedicated paint store experience.
Requirements
- Must be approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping customers
- Basic computer skills are necessary to use customer management software
- An outgoing personality with a positive attitude
- Being a self-starter
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Prior computer knowledge is a plus
- Bilingual skills are a bonus, as many professional contractors speak a second language
Responsibilities
- Support the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself to contractors
- Get to know contractors, their business, and their needs
- Maintain relationships and follow up regarding jobs and future needs
- Work closely with Behr’s outside sales reps and take care of customers in the store, including pulling and tinting orders for pick up
- Work closely with the Home Depot staff, maintaining a professional and helpful vendor relationship
- Enter all new leads and contacts into Salesforce, the customer relationship management tool
- Collaborate with contractors to get the right products, mix paint, and collect sundry paint tools to ensure quick service
