About The Position

PRN Direct Support Professional This role is located in South Charlotte and is an as needed role for a specific client. Client requires a female staff who is able to lift and provide personal care. Please note that this is an as needed role and does not consist of regular hours- but requests may include weekends, occasional weekdays, evenings and occasional coverage for vacations for clients' guardians. Requirements

  • A compassionate, patient, and encouraging attitude
  • 18+ years old
  • Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Client requires a female staff who is able to lift and provide personal care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a family caregiveryour lived experience matters
  • Previous experience as a DSP, PCA, HHA, or CNA (a plus, not required)
  • Experience supporting individuals with IDD, autism, or behavioral support needs

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with ADLs such as hygiene, grooming, and meals
  • Following support plans, providing encouragement, and assisting with de-escalation
  • Supporting with appointments, hobbies, and community-based activities or jobs
  • Helping with mobility, medication administration, and preparing simple, nutritious meals
