About The Position

The print account coordinator is crucial to the production of traditional print and voting materials which require a high level of accuracy to prevent errors down the line. It involves preparing jobs for entry into production, considering distributor, State and County specifications. During election years, the print account coordinator’s role is dependent upon the cyclical nature of election work with the remaining years serving as a coordinator and customer service in the traditional area of the business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or at least five years of job specific work experience.
  • Experience in customer service, account support, project management, and/or print production.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast–paced, collaborative in–person work environment.
  • Familiarity with print processes or a strong interest in learning.
  • Mathematical proficiency.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Creative problem–solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand job specifications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and overtime during election season.

Responsibilities

  • Uses discretion in preparing orders for ballots, voter information guides, and other voting materials with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate the life cycle of election print projects from intake through production.
  • Stay current on election laws, print terminology, formats and materials.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the election codes in our markets as they pertain to ballot and voter information guide printing.
  • Actively participate in and document customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with USPS Mail Design Analyst to ensure mail piece compliance.
  • Gather project specs and coordinate with prepress and data teams.
  • Communicate with customers regarding proofs and production updates.
  • Review and organize print proofs and samples.
  • Create detailed job tickets/run sheets for production using proprietary print management software to convey accurate information to production.
  • Work with the scheduling department to ensure jobs are produced on time.
  • Prepare invoices, referencing job jackets, for customer billing.
  • Maintain records and archives of past projects.
  • Manage customer communications and relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
