The role is for a highly motivated research scientist to join the Clinical Biomarker Assays group. The candidate will provide support focused on developing clinical exploratory immune assays for translational teams to advance the late-stage preclinical and early-stage clinical pipeline.

Requirements

  • Minimum Masters degree or other graduate degree in Biological and Life Sciences with a focus on oncology/immuno-oncology.
  • Immunology experience required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands laboratory experience.
  • Extensive experience in designing, validating and executing cytokine and soluble analyte-based assays on cell culture supernatants and/or patient sera and plasma.
  • Pharma or Biotech experience required.
  • Experience with GxP and GCLP lab environments, workflows, SOPs and procedures.
  • Competency, and ability to work with cell-biology techniques, such as flow cytometry, microscopy, tissue culture, ELISAs, and Incucyte.
  • High level of motivation and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Desire to expand one’s scientific knowledge and technical skills.
  • Driven by a desire to create the next generation of cancer therapeutics and to offer cancer patients both efficacious and tolerable new therapies that extend and improve their lives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and executing either high-dimensional flow cytometry and/or in vitro tumor-immune assays.
  • Proficiency with Xponent FlexMap 3D software, Spotfire and R Python.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, performing and validating fit-for-purpose clinical exploratory assays with a focus on soluble analytes and cytokines in a GCLP lab environment.
  • Characterization of responses to antibody therapy using approaches such as MSD, Luminex, and ELISA.
  • Work independently and contribute both intellectually and technically to projects.
  • Analyze data, using software including Spotfire, GraphPad Prism, Excel, etc.
  • Contribute to publications and present results at internal meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with scientists from Translational Research, Pathology and Data Sciences to customize assays and perform experiments across Genmab’s therapeutic programs.
