About The Position

What you'll do... Position: Principal, Technology Operations Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066 Duties: Drives informed decision-making and ensures resolution of critical issues by partnering with senior leaders to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues within the business; creating communication strategy and content; educating sponsors, stakeholders, and executive leadership on program requirements; and developing and implementing a program management life cycle. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Drives program management process improvement by overseeing and/or conducting gap analyses; evaluating and determining practicality of improvement opportunities; developing improved processes based on best practices and standards; ensuring alignment of process improvement with department and company strategy; providing guidance to project leads on process improvement; gaining buy-in and approval from leadership on process improvements; and overseeing the implementation of processes. Evaluates program performance by comparing projections to actual results; identifying and analyzing key performance indicators and trend data; conducting return-on-investment analyses; reviewing customer response and feedback from key stakeholders; identifying and addressing cross functional program and project issues; collaborating with teams across the company to leverage processes in order to increase service and product capabilities; and recommending adjustments and process improvement ideas to leadership to meet deliverables. Interprets and utilizes information for one or more initiative work streams by using various analytical methodologies; developing solutions within business areas that reduce costs and meet business goals; prioritizing assignments; ensuring accuracy of business data; recommending program changes to stakeholders based on data; and persuading cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement changes. Leads business requirements gathering, definition and solution design by collaborating with Product, Technology, and Operations teams. Translates business goals and process gaps into detailed requirements, user stories, and functional specifications. Ensures alignment between technology solutions and operational objectives, keeping enterprise architecture standards in mind. This position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business Administration, Information Systems, Project/Program Management, Information Technology, Finance, Management, or related area and 3 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business Administration, Information Systems, Project/Program Management, Information Technology, Finance, Management, or related area and 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Experience creating data models and analyzing data from the Relational Database Management System: MySQL.
  • Experience developing dashboards and visualizations to track key financial and operational metrics using Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, and Excel.
  • Experience with project management, including project planning, scope management, risk identification and mitigation, change management, issue resolution and escalation, and project execution using JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project Planner.
  • Experience with financial analysis and modeling, including cost analysis, fee structure modeling, and ROI assessment.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and communication, including cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, influence without authority, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with Supply Chain and Logistics, including Cross Border Logistics, Inventory Flow, and Fulfilment Centers.
  • Experience with Process Optimization and Automation using Lean Management techniques.
  • Experience with revenue forecasting, profitability modeling, and market sizing using statistical modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Experience designing and optimizing fee structures based on seller profiling, including seller behavior, operational performance, and risk indicators.
  • Experience developing and executing change management using structured communication plans and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
  • Experience designing and optimizing payment and billing workflows and invoicing models based on seller behavior, operational performance, and risk indicators.
  • Experience researching the competitive landscape to create strategic plans.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and drafting BRDs and user stories in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to define scalable logistics and payment solutions.
