About The Position

Amazon's Selling Partner Promotions team is seeking a driven Principal Technical Program Manager to anchor our exceptional engineering and product management teams towards successful delivery on our mission of building self-service tools for Selling Partners and Amazonians to create, manage, and analyze the performance of promotions. We succeed when our products are intuitive and transparent, deliver marketing impact with market competitive costs, and create a diverse selection of high-quality promotions. We are looking for a talented, organized, and customer-focused leader to add to our technical program management function, partnering effectively with our engineers, product managers, multiple cross-functional stakeholder & dependency teams within Pricing, Promotions, and across Amazon. This role requires an individual with excellent team leadership skills, strong business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We are looking for an experienced leader who is a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Plot The Course. Coordinate across Engineering, Product, Business, Legal, and Finance to capture and translate requirements into an actionable delivery roadmap.
  • Mitigate Risks. Manage cross-functional and cross-org dependencies risks, and make appropriate trade-offs weighing value vs time to market
  • Be The Pulse. Own regular communication mechanisms to keep senior leadership & stakeholders informed of program progress, risks, timelines, and high judgement decisions.
  • Deliver Results. Lead effective and efficient delivery of large, complex science programs
  • Leverage AI. Use the latest tools to scale your and the team's capacity and efficiency.
