The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services: RTX has an opening for a Principal Specialist, Service Management Business Analyst (Principal Specialist, Information Workplace Services) role. The ServiceNow Business Analyst will be responsible for the capture and implementation of requirements for the Service Management Platform. This role involves working closely with Stakeholders and IT teams to understand business requirements, translating them into acceptance criteria for development, and ensuring the effective implementation of those requirements into the ServiceNow platform. This role requires proven experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst with a strong understanding of the ServiceNow processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with ServiceNow and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or a related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supporting role in the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Experience with a variety of areas within the ServiceNow Platform
  • Skilled in interacting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Stakeholders, Developers and RTX internal customers to define functional specifications that meet user requirements and are technically sound.
  • Strong Excel and Visio Skills and excellent writing and communication skills for producing clear, concise notes and Story documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow certifications (ITIL, HRSD or domain-specific certifications)
  • Experience in large, highly regulated, or global organizations
  • Experience with ServiceNow Core platform
  • Experience with ServiceNow system integrations
  • Experience or certification with Agile or Scaled Agile Framework

Responsibilities

  • Work with Story stakeholders.
  • Gather and define requirements representing the customers need.
  • Write User Acceptance Criteria based on analysis of business requirements and desired result.
  • Write clear Test Scripts, validate stories and assist with analysis and reporting of testing defects.
  • Responsible for holistically understanding both the business and technical aspects of the ServiceNow platform modules.
  • May also be asked to write knowledge articles and documentation that describes features and functionality for technical and business users.
