The Federal HCM Core Product Management team at Workday develops innovative software empowering federal agencies to manage human resources effectively. We're looking for an experienced federal HR domain expert to contribute to our next-generation workforce solutions. As a seasoned Principal Product Manager for Federal HR Solutions, you will be the subject matter authority in U.S. Federal Human Resources, guiding our product roadmap and collaborating closely with customers and scrum teams. Working with Workday’s Industry Strategy team and oCHRO Product Management leadership, you will serve as the voice of the customer for product areas spanning Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Time & Scheduling, Recruiting, Payroll and other Talent Management areas. Partnering with other Workday functional and technical product authorities, you will set priorities and create detailed requirements documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the U.S. Federal market
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management or related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with federal HR systems currently offered by Shared Service Providers (e.g., , HR Connect, EmpowHR, FPPS)
  • 5+ years of experience with HCM and Payroll products (HCM Core, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting)
  • Knowledge of Title V, OPM Regulations, DOD Requirements, GPPA, and the Human Capital Business Reference Model and Human Capital Information Model
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Demonstrated ability to translate sophisticated HR requirements into actionable product specifications
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences including the federal government agencies
  • Knowledge of unique human capital business practices in the intelligence community
  • Skilled in time, priority, and task management
  • Ability to anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity, and take decisive action
  • Self starter and leader that can get things done within a cross functional matrixed environment and be accountable for getting things done
