Principal Product Manager

SteadilyAustin, TX
27d$180,000 - $220,000Onsite

About The Position

We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager with experience solving complex workflow problems and building intuitive products that delight users. You’ll take complex, high-stakes workflows — billing, renewals, endorsements, cancellations — and turn them into systems that are simple, scalable, and resilient. In turn, you’ll impact our most important company metrics including retention and financial performance. This is a senior, high-ownership IC role. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, operations, and the executive team to set direction, make decisions, and ship impact that compound over time.

Requirements

  • Experienced: This isn't your first rodeo. There's no specific requirements on the minimum number of years, but we expect you to be able to ramp up quickly. You know how to balance speed and quality, making thoughtful trade-offs to solve problems effectively.
  • Builder: You’ve been a builder before, not just a planner. You’ve taken ideas from inception to launch over and over. You’re heavily biased towards action.
  • Stakeholder-whisperer: You synthesize what everybody wants and needs, then make the call on how to proceed. You earn trust through detail orientation and follow-through.
  • System-thinker: You thrive on untangling complex problems. You can deconstruct an entire user flow into its parts, understand how each piece fits, and spot the dependencies others miss.
  • Design-oriented: We have a designer, but you've spent enough time in Figma with wireframes and mockups that you have a strong sense for good UX. You set a high bar for what actually ships.
  • Driven: You should be excited about startups and not looking for an easy job. This is a commitment, but it’s a commitment that will set you, and as a byproduct, the company, apart. You’ll be surrounded by a team with high ownership who are genuinely fun to work with.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end process from problem discovery to solution delivery, iterating quickly and adjusting based on real usage data and team feedback. Initiatives balance the tactical (what needs to ship today) with the strategic (what stepping stones do we need for the next year).
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, and Operations to translate real-world user problems into clean, effective solutions. Your work won’t sit in JIRA tickets or Google Docs, it will ship fast, be used by customers, and directly influence key product and business outcomes.
  • Prioritize using data and business context since there are way more interesting problems to solve than you'll have time to tackle, so you'll pick your battles and decide what's most important.
  • Simplify complex workflows like policy management, billing, and multi-player coverage changes into clear, digestible steps. This is the engine of retention.
  • Create user-friendly experiences across all of our applications including independent agents, landlords, lenders, and internal employees.

Benefits

  • Salary of $180K - $220K annually + equity in the company
  • 3 weeks PTO plus six federal holidays
  • Health insurance including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, HSA, FSA
  • 401K
  • Free snacks & regular team lunches
