Key job responsibilities As a Principal Product Manager - Technical in Alexa Communications, you will be responsible for building calling, texting, emailing, and sharing experiences, where Alexa acts as an agent to get things done for customers. This role is cross-functional — you will work closely with engineering, science, design, business intelligence, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications that customers love.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with end to end product delivery
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
• Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
• Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Responsibilities

• Own and define the vision, strategy, and product roadmap, manage tradeoffs and dependencies with key stakeholders, and execute on deliverables
• Work closely with the engineering, design, and science teams to develop an offering that will delight customers
• Drive product launches including working with business development, Alexa partner teams, public relations team, executives in other companies, and other product management team members
• Monitor the business and refine the roadmap

• Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
• The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.
• Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
