About The Position

Skylo is hiring a Principal Network Integration Engineer to help fulfill Skylo’s mission of making satellite connectivity available to all. This individual will lead the end-to-end integration of multi-vendor 4G/5G and NTN network elements across cloud-native and on-premises environments, architect scalable automation frameworks, and ensure resilient, high-performance satellite network operations from design through live deployment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of 4G/5G expertise covering RAN, Core, subscriber data management, and Diameter/ Signaling.
  • Experience in network integration, and software deployments, including configuration management and beam planning
  • Knowledge of Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) and Private Network architectures, especially for ad-hoc enterprise connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of RF engineering and frequency planning, specifically link budgets and interference management.
  • Proven ability to align network functions with cloud-native deployment processes and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, and Python for managing CNFs within Kubernetes environments.
  • Expertise in scaling Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stacks to map technical telemetry to actionable business KPIs.
  • Deep knowledge of network security (IPsec, PKI, TLS) and automated auditing for software and configuration drift.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the logical integration of multi-vendor network elements (RAN, Core, HSS) across on-premises and cloud-native infrastructures.
  • Validate satellite-specific configurations (ephemeris data, beam planning, frequency mapping) with partners for reliable link performance.
  • Collaborate with Network Design and Cloud Application teams to define architectural best practices for optimized cloud-native integration and scalability.
  • Manage the DevOps team to architect automated CI/CD and "audit-as-code" integration frameworks.
  • Oversee execution of high-precision Methods of Procedure for software and patch rollouts, leveraging automation to minimize errors and maintenance windows.
  • Define, audit, and enforce network baseline configurations and "gold standards," managing large-scale parameter changes for stability.
  • Establish critical KPIs, metrics, and automated Dashboards to transition implementations to live operations and real-time health monitoring.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison, driving architectural best practices across engineering, deployment, and operations teams.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation packages including a stock option based equity program
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan
  • Monthly allowances for wellness and education reimbursement
  • A generous time off policy, holidays, and the opportunity to temporarily work abroad
  • Once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of developing and running world’s first commercial, live direct-to-device satellite network and service
  • Access to world-class team and talent across tech domains: software, hardware, chipsets, telecom, satellite and network virtualization
  • Open, transparent, inclusive culture that blends the Silicon Valley, Nordic and South Asia characteristics
