About The Position

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a Principal Network Engineer to architect and lead the installation and maintenance of secure computer communication networks supporting our SecureView accredited cross-domain software. This role requires deep expertise across diverse network configurations and networking technologies. This is an onsite position located in Rome, NY and requires an active TS/SCI AIS is a leading cyber and information security company supporting mission critical operations across the DoD, intelligence community, commerce and beyond. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 11 years of experience supporting IT deployments or service delivery contracts in customer or end-user environments, including progressively responsible experience in network systems engineering. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working directly with and supporting end users in an IC environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with architecting computer network design and computer network security.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience implementing and staffing IT deployment teams, operations, help desks and other customer support functions.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Cisco and Aruba VPN and firewall networking devices.
  • Including hardware platforms and Virtualized devices in a Linux operating environment.
  • Working knowledge of Certificate Authority servers in a virtualized RHEL operating environment.
  • In-depth understanding of CSfC
  • Active TS/SCI

Responsibilities

  • Resolves complex interoperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms.
  • Architect and configure systems to unique user environments.
  • Leads the acquisition of hardware and software for network architecture.
  • Act as a technical project leader and provides work leadership for lower-level employees.
