About The Position

Principal Electrical Reliability Engineer Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards. What you’ll achieve As a Principal Electrical Reliability Engineer you will be a vital member of our cross-functional engineering team and will be instrumental in delivering advanced liquid cooling solutions for AI, HPC, and enterprise server markets. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional reliability by collaborating on design tradeoffs that also optimize time-to-market, cost, manufacturability and serviceability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in related role or equivalent skill
  • Expertise in electronics cooling with experience developing direct contact liquid cooling solutions including cold plates, cooling loops, manifolds, coolant distribution units or similar experience with internal fluid dynamics and heat transfer
  • Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer or Reliability)

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative concepts and establish feasibility
  • Bring a “Design For” (DFx) mindset to identify and mitigate potential reliability issues
  • Conduct reliability analyses to identify potential failure modes and their impact
  • Develop and execute validation protocols including accelerated life, environmental and stress testing
  • Perform root cause analysis and work with engineering teams to implement corrective actions
