Skyworks Solutions is seeking an experienced RF Engineer who will play a key role in the development of Skyworks' silicon IPs and acoustic SAW/BAW technologies. The candidate will be working on Skyworks RF products as well as developing IPs, which will be used across the company. The job involves design of RF circuits such as LNAs, switches and filters and develop the necessary MCM for integration, testing and evaluation of the said circuits. She/he will be in charge of detailed analysis of fully integrated MCMs using start of the art EM analysis tools such as HFSS or Clarity. The candidate will also require to leading lab evaluation and contribute to test automation. It is expected of the candidate to have a very strong RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability. In this role, you work with EDA team and internal/external foundries to fine-tune and maximize the performance of RF circuits by optimizing devices and process features. The daily job is to perform the following: Work seamlessly as a member of Skyworks' IP team to advance the design of silicon IP and BAW/SAW filters Advance the characterization and analysis of RF circuits including S-parameters, IMD, harmonics generation, and ruggedness. Design and tape out MCM/laminate breakout board for small signal and large signal characterizations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in designing RF circuits
  • Fluency in either Ansys HFSS, ADS momentum or Cadence Clarity
  • Experience with Virtuoso design environment from schematic capture to EM simulation
  • Design experience for at least one of the following: LNA, RF switches, acoustic filters
  • Hands on experience with using RF lab equipment
  • MS/PHD in EE or similar field
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
  • Determines design approaches and parameters.
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • May also review vendor capability to support product development.
